Relevant qualification in Electrical Installation.
Willingness to become a first aider.

Responsibilities

Regularly service and maintain tools and equipment in the Electrical Installation Section.
Carry out risk assessments with the Course Team Leader and Head of School and suggest improvements.
Report major maintenance tasks to the Section Manager to minimise teaching disruption.
Maintain stock levels of materials and tools to support teaching and learning.
Keep teaching environments clean and safe within the area.
Liaise with Head of School to ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.
Assist course teams in preparing materials and resources for teaching and learning.
Assist Lecturers in setting up equipment for teaching and learning.
Be willing to undertake first aid training and become a first aider.
Supervise students in workshops with or without Lecturer, ensuring safety.
Supervise practical lessons and demonstrate techniques to students.
Coordinate with other Technicians to ensure continuity across the School.
