Job summary

Aglance Enhanced College is seeking a High Skills Technician - Electrical Installation to support the Electrical Installation provision. The role covers maintenance and simple repairs of equipment, assisting lecturers with resources, and ensuring safety in practical sessions.

You will supervise learners in workshops, provide instruction and support, and collaborate with the broader technician team to maintain smooth operations as September 2026 facilities open.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Installation industry.
• Experience in training environments or with young people.
• Ability to supervise learners in a workshop environment.
• Ability to work effectively without supervision.
• Willingness to become a practising First Aider in the College.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and undertake simple repairs for Electrical Installation equipment.
• Assist lecturers in preparing equipment and resources for teaching and learning.
• Ensure Health and Safety is complied with.
• Supervise students working in workshops and in practical lessons.
• Instruct and support students and work with other Technicians to ensure smooth operation.
