Job summary

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a Lecturer/Instructor in Electrical Installation to teach Level 2 and 3 qualifications, including 18th Edition, Inspection and testing, and PAT Testing.

The role requires Level 3 in a relevant discipline, current knowledge of electrical installation, and the ability to deliver to industry standards; a teaching qualification is desirable and support for training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and 17th/18th Edition Inspection & Testing.
• Willing to study for DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Industry experience in Electrical Installation with current knowledge and ability to deliver to industry standard.
• Well organised and able to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
• Able to communicate effectively with students and peers.

Responsibilities

• To teach Electrical Installation and related units/courses across the full range of the Centre’s provision.
• To teach other specialist subjects for which you are qualified and which are appropriate.
• Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
