Job summary

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking a Lecturer/Instructor in Electrical Installation to teach Level 2 & 3 qualifications and related courses. The role requires up-to-date industry knowledge and a willingness to support a range of part-time courses including 18th Edition, Inspection and testing, and PAT Testing.

You will contribute to student progression, prepare learning materials, assess work, and engage in course development with access to strong support

Qualifications

• Has a level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and 17th/18th Edition Inspection & Testing.
• Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
• Has industry experience in Electrical Installation with current knowledge and ability to deliver to industry standard.
• Is well organised and able to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
• ABLE to communicate effectively with students and peers.

Responsibilities

• Teach Electrical Installation and related units/courses across the full range of the Centre’s provision.
• Teach other specialist subjects for which you are qualified and appropriate.
• Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking examination papers, developing flexible learning materials.

The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes.
