Trant Engineering Ltd in Southampton is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Estimating department and support bid submissions for process and water sector projects. You will prepare electrical and ICA cost estimates, develop scope of work, review procurement pricing, and collaborate with engineers, commercial teams and project delivery to ensure accurate forecasting.

Qualifications

• Essential engineering or related degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated estimating experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of process/waste water treatment technologies.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and ICA cost estimates for tenders in the process and water sector.
• Develop scope of work, procurement packages and constructability considerations.
• Create single line diagrams and perform analyses using Amtech/Trimble.
• Define work packages and adjudicate procurement quotes.
• Prepare estimates using RIB Candy and update risk registers.
• Collaborate with engineers, commercial teams and project delivery for accurate forecasts.
