Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd. invites an enthusiastic Assistant Process Design Engineer to support the IDS team in delivering water and wastewater projects across the UK.

You will work on feasibility through detailed design and construction support, collaborating with civil, mechanical, electrical and ICA engineers to meet client requirements. The role involves developing process design calculations, creating PFDs and P&IDs, and contributing to technical reports while aligning with Trant’s values of

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical/Process or related engineering with IChemE accreditation.
• Strong technical aptitude and enthusiasm for process engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Manager and Process Design Manager in delivering process engineering solutions across Trant's UK Water Industry Frameworks.
• Assist with coordination and integration of process design activities within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop understanding of client requirements and project specifications, producing fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.
• Undertake process design calculations, including mass balances and related assessments.
• Assist in producing PFDs, P&IDs and supporting design documentation.
• Contribute to development of technical reports and process control philosophies.
• Support installation and commissioning activities through technical guidance.
