Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Electrical/ICA Engineer to join the Thames Water Major Projects team at East Hyde, Luton. You will deliver LV electrical, ICA, PLC, and SCADA commissioning expertise for industrial water projects, liaising with clients and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates hold an HNC in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering with hands-on ICA experience, PLCs, HMIs and Profibus networks, plus a driving license.

Qualifications

• HNC qualified in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Experience in ICA engineering, PLCs, HMIs, Profibus networks and SCADA installations on large-scale water projects.
• Knowledge of LV motor control centres and communications protocols like Profibus/Modbus/Ethernet IP.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-discipline team.
• Full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Review LV Electrical and ICA documentation and ensure compliance with water industry asset standards.
• Represent Kier at client meetings and coordination sessions.
• Conduct fault finding and configuration for MCC and ICA equipment including PLCs and control panels.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of Profibus networks and support system integrators with PLC software.
• Review risk assessments and method statements and approve ITPs to meet project requirements.
