Job Description

This role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop, test, and validate hybrid systems. The main responsibilities include modifying automotive harnesses, wiring test rigs and systems, troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems, developing electrical systems, creating documentation, and maintaining test equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Modify electrical systems to customer specifications
  • Wire and test electrical systems and equipment
  • Monitor and record test data
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems
  • Develop electrical systems to support development activities
  • Create electrical documentation
  • Perform general maintenance on test rigs and equipment
  • Support installation of equipment and systems
Qualifications
  • NVQ / BTEC qualification or higher
Skills and Experience
  • Experience in electronics/electrical engineering
  • Ability to read and create electrical drawings and schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electrical drawing software
  • PLC programming knowledge is advantageous
  • Hands-on wiring and cabling experience
  • Knowledge of hybrid systems is a plus
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and machinery
Work Schedule

38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm, Friday 8:30am-12:30pm

Training

Training will be provided on the job and through specialized courses. You will work with experienced engineers in a team environment.
