Job summary

Qair UK - Qair Group is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our renewables-focused design team. The role covers electrical designs for grid connections from LV to HV (up to 132kV) and ensuring compliance with ENA G81 and other standards.

You will interact with clients and stakeholders, produce CAD-based drawings, perform power system calculations, and support tendering and project delivery in a dynamic ICP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in ICP/DNO/electrical consultancy, renewables preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD and power system tools.
• Knowledge of G81, ENA ER standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design grid connections for solar, wind, and BESS projects.
• Produce LV to HV designs up to 132kV and associated documentation.
• Prepare design docs to DNO/IDNO/ENA G81 standards.
• Specify switchgear, transformers, and cable sizing.
• Conduct earthing assessments and power system calculations.
• Create CAD drawings and single-line diagrams.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders on design activities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and CDM standards.
