Travail Employment Group is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer based near Northampton. The role focuses on performing planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mechanical and electrical assets in a moulding manufacturing environment.

The ideal engineer is electrically biased with strong fault finding skills, reading wiring diagrams, and knowledge of CMMS. The position offers a salary up to £62,000 depending on experience, plus overtime and a pension.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 vocational qualification.
• Electrical bias with 60/40 split towards electrical work.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work.
• Good communication with supervisors and teams.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and perform safe repairs.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on plant assets.
• Fault-find and repair PLC-controlled equipment, drives and sensors.
• Maintain gearboxes, pumps, valves, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Complete documentation and CMMS entries with accuracy.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and new equipment installations.
