Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a Northampton-based FMCG site. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance of automated production lines, fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems, and supporting site improvements.

The ideal candidate has electrical fault-finding skills, experience with control panels and three-phase electrics, and a background in fast-paced manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with control panels, sensors, inverters and three-phase electrics.
• Mechanical maintenance including bearings, gearboxes, pumps and valves.
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Engineering apprenticeship or qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Maintaining automated production and packaging equipment.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
• Assisting with equipment upgrades and installations where required.
