Travail Employment Group is supporting a Northampton-based client in appointing a multi-skilled maintenance engineer. The role covers both electrical and mechanical repairs, with a focus on continuous improvement and reducing downtime in a moulding manufacturing environment.

You will perform PPMs and reactive repairs within a small team, ensuring safe operations. The position offers a salary up to £62,000 per year, with DOE, plus overtime and pension.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 vocational qualification.
• Hands-on electrical and mechanical repair experience.
• Experience diagnosing PLC-controlled equipment and drives.
• Familiar with safety regs and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance: diagnose faults and repair to minimise downtime.
• PPM: follow service checklists and replace worn components.
• Fault finding on PLCs, inverters, drives and sensors.
• Mechanical servicing of gearboxes, pumps, valves and cylinders.
• Complete permits and log activities in CMMS.
