Job summary

SP Electricity North West is seeking an Electrical Fitters Mate in Blackburn to join a two-person team assisting the Fitter with substation maintenance, construction and inspections. You will work live on 230/440V equipment and adhere to safety standards.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship, hold a full UK driving licence (B+E desirable) and be customer-focused with strong paperwork skills.

A Fantastic Opportunity: Electrical Fitters Mate

As a Fitters Mate, you will work as part of a two-person team. Work will include assisting the Fitter with substation maintenance, construction & inspections.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all work carried out is in accordance with Health & Safety and company codes of practice, whilst maintaining high levels of customer service. This will involve working live on 230 / 440V apparatus, conductors and other equipment as required.

You will be expected as part of a team to complete Point of Work Risk Assessments and operate hand tools in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company codes of practice.

The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
