Job summary

Engineering @ 365 Ltd in Long Eaton is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join the assembly team. You will read drawings, assemble electrical products, mount hardware to frames and panels, and wire instrumentation to required standards.

The role involves working independently within the assembly department alongside a skilled team, maintaining quality and safety, and recording hours in the SAP system. Previous experience with low-voltage and three-phase systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience as Electrical Fitter, Assembler or Panel Wirer.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/engineering drawings.
• Experience with low-voltage equipment, mains equipment or three-phase systems is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures in manufacturing.

Electrical Fitter

Location: Long Eaton

Hours: 8am – 4.30pm Monday- Thursday and 8am-1pm on a Friday

Contract: Permanent

365 People is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist manufacturing business based in Long Eaton. Due to continued production demand, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Fitter to join their electrical assembly team.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Fitter with experience in electrical assembly, electrical wiring and fitting electrical components within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Working from engineering drawings and build specifications, you will assemble electrical products, mount electrical hardware to frames and panels, and wire instrumentation and electrical equipment to the required standards. The role involves working independently within the assembly department, alongside a skilled electrical engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical products, including bench-mounted and frame-mounted equipment, to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Mount electrical hardware, components and equipment to frames and panels.
• Wire low-voltage instrumentation, 110V/230V mains equipment and three-phase electrical equipment.
• Check build packs, drawings and bills of materials to ensure the correct specifications are being followed.
• Pick and verify the correct kits, components and materials before assembly.
• Inspect components for quality, damage and defects before fitting.
• Carry out self-inspection and quality checks on completed electrical assemblies.
• Report discrepancies with drawings, bills of materials or assembly instructions to the Production Manager.
• Record working hours accurately using the SAP system.
• Work to production schedules, quality standards and agreed assembly times.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Assist other departments and carry out additional duties when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Electrical Fitter, Electrical Assembler or Electrical Panel Wirer.
• Experience fitting electrical components to frames, panels or manufactured equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and engineering drawings.
• Understanding of electrical wiring, instrumentation and electrical components.
• Experience working with low-voltage equipment, mains equipment or three-phase systems is advantageous.
