Job summary

KPJ Group in Hyde is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our specialist manufacturing team. You will fit and wire bespoke conveyor systems, from new builds to customer modifications and on-site installations, in a hands-on environment.

You should be time-served with 18th Edition BS7671 and have experience reading schematics, wiring looms, and testing components. The role offers a Monday–Friday 37-hour week with overtime and a healthcare plan, plus PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Time-served with relevant electrical qualifications – including 18th Edition (BS 7671).
• Experience in electrical fitting, panel wiring, or a similar hands-on electrical role.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Routing, fitting, and securing cables and wiring looms within machinery.
• Cable management across bespoke conveyor systems.
• Connecting and testing motors, sensors, and electrical components.
• Interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for installations.
• Supporting electrical setup of rental and customer conveyor systems.
• Conducting electrical testing and fault-finding.
• Completing wiring on pre-built control panels.
• Ensuring all work meets electrical safety standards and quality procedures.

Job description

We’re hiring an Electrical Fitter to join a specialist manufacturing team based in Hyde.

In this role, you’ll be working on the electrical fitting and wiring of bespoke conveyor systems – from new builds and customer modifications through to on‑site installations – in a hands‑on environment where no two days are the same.

• Mon – Fri | 8am – 4:30pm (37 hours)

What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter?
