Job summary

E3recruitment on behalf of a Bradford-based engineering business is seeking an Electrical Fitter for a permanent role with clear progression as the company expands. The position offers a structured day shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with early finishes on Fridays and overtime opportunities.

Starting salary £35,023 per year with uplift after probation. Overtime is paid at 150% weekdays and double time on weekend Saturdays after 12:00 noon.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Technical degree or certification required (Essential).
• Wiring to 18th edition BS 7671 and installation experiences.

Responsibilities

• Follow the published production plan to schedule workflow.
• Manufacture items from drawings ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Wiring to 18th edition BS7671.
• Operate vehicles or equipment safely in line with SOPs.
• Assist team leader to maintain compliant, calibrated equipment.
• Undertake other duties as requested by line manager.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Fitter

• Ensure workflow of a product is scheduled by following the published production plan.
• Manufacture items as drawn to ensure commercial accuracy and maintain efficiency.
• Wiring to 18thedition reg BS7671
• Operate any vehicle or company equipment in a safe manner and in line with any published SOP's.
• Assist team leader to participate in an efficient workshop that complies with regulatory requirements, and ensures equipment is calibrated and safe.
• Undertake other duties linked to your role that benefit the company from time to time on the reasonable request of your line manager.

Requirements of the Electrical Fitter

• Installation of trunking, conduit, and cable containment. Installation of outdoor armoured cable glands
• 1stfix and 2nd fix accessories and building services.
• Earthing and bonding
• Wiring to 18thedition regs BS 7671
• Wiring 3-phase and single-phase motors
• Technical degree or certification Essential
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar role.
