Job summary

KPJ Group in the High Peak is seeking an Electrical Fitter to join a globally recognised manufacturer in a modern heavy engineering workshop. You will wire and test electrical control panels, assemble electromechanical components, and read engineering drawings.

You will need NVQ3 in Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition desirable, and experience in heavy manufacturing. The role offers a 4-day week, 25 days holiday, pension, healthcare, and overtime at enhanced rates.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing electrical work.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations (desirable).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Control panel assembly - wiring and testing.
• Assembling and connecting electromechanical components.
• Reading and working from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Carrying out electrical fault finding where required.
• Ensuring all work conforms to drawing specifications and tolerances.
• Checking calibrated equipment is in good condition and within calibration date.

We're hiring an Electrical Fitter to join a globally recognised manufacturer based in the High Peak. This is a great opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped heavy engineering workshop, wiring and testing electrical control panels as part of a skilled and experienced team.

What will you be doing as an Electrical Fitter?

• Control panel assembly - building, wiring and testing electrical control panels
• Assembling and connecting electromechanical components
• Reading and working from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Carrying out electrical fault finding where required
• Ensuring all work conforms to relevant drawing specifications and tolerances
• Checking that calibrated equipment is in good condition and within calibration date

What do you need?

• Time served to NVQ3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
