Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Gateshead seeks experienced electrical engineers to join their field service team. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of lifting equipment, including overhead cranes and hoists. Prospective candidates should be apprentice-trained or equivalent in electrical engineering disciplines. This position offers regular paid overtime, a comprehensive benefits package including a company van, and opportunities for personal development. Ideal candidates must be physically fit and able to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Must have an electrical discipline and experience/knowledge of LOLER/PUWER regulations.
• Good understanding of 415v AC 3 phase motor contactor control circuits.
• Strong grasp of English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric overhead travelling cranes.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety-related issues.
