Job summary

Marmion is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join a fast-growing EV infrastructure business delivering charging solutions across the UK. You will diagnose faults, commission, maintain and repair EV charging equipment, and support customers on-site with clear reporting and strict safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in electrical installation/maintenance, UK driving licence, and qualifications like NVQ3, AM2, and BS7671 18th Edition; knowledge of EV charging/renewables is a

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Electrical Qualification, AM2 and BS7671 - IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
• City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing and a valid JIB Gold Card.
• At least 3 years’ experience working to SLAs in a commercial field-based electrical installation/maintenance environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability with confidence working independently in the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and work closely with both internal stakeholders and customers.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (multimeters & voltage testers)
• A valid UK driving licence, happy with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Experience working within EV Charging/Renewable Energy would be advantageous but not essential, client open to candidates from a range of industries.
• Candidates must have a permanent Right to Work in the UK. Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Working across AC, Rapid DC, Ultra & High-Power Charging Systems (HPC), you will play a key role in commissioning, maintaining and repairing EV charging equipment, with clear opportunities to develop your skills in a rapidly growing sector.

The Role

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and system faults on EV charging equipment.
• Commission, configure and carry out firmware updates where required.

Skills & Experience

You’ll ideally have:
