Job summary

Marmion Ltd is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to service EV charging solutions across the UK. You will diagnose faults, commission equipment, and perform maintenance on AC, DC, HPC charging systems, travelling frequently in Greater London and beyond.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification, 1–2 years in the field, strong fault-finding and communication skills, and a valid UK driving licence. Right to work in the UK is essential; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Role

• Diagnose and resolve electrical and system faults on EV charging equipment.

Salary, Overtime & Benefits

• Paid Overtime (1.5x/2x rates) – strong earning potential
• On-Call Allowance (1 in 3 weeks)
• Covering Greater London, M25 Corridor (home-based with daily travel and occasional overnight stays)

Skills & Experience

You’ll ideally have:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Electrical or Electro-Technical Qualification
• 1-2 years’ experience working to SLAs in a commercial field-based electrical installation/maintenance environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability with confidence working independently in the field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and work closely with both internal stakeholders and customers.
• Familiarity with test and measurement equipment (multimeters & voltage testers)
• A valid UK driving licence, happy with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Experience working within EV Charging/Renewable Energy would be advantageous but not essential, our client is open to speaking with candidates from a range of industries.
• BS7671 - IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) and City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing would also be desirable.
• Candidates must have a permanent Right to Work in the UK.Please note, our client cannot offer visa sponsorship for this position.
