Job summary

AMB Recruitment Group in Derby is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join a specialist division focused on control panels, site works, and installation projects within industrial and commercial environments. The role centers on producing accurate estimates and tender submissions for electrical works, including panel design and site installations.

You'll collaborate with internal design and delivery teams to ensure solutions are commercially viable, technically sound, and aligned with client

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical estimating for panels, controls, or similar environments.
• Ability to produce tender submissions and cost breakdowns.
• Strong interpreting of technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate estimates and tender submissions for control panels and site-based electrical works
• Compile component specifications and pricing in line with client requirements
• Review and interpret technical specifications and drawings
• Support the tender process alongside internal sales and design teams
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain relevant cost information
• Attend site visits and surveys during the tender stage
• Ensure all estimates and documentation meet quality, safety, and company standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency within estimating processes
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure commercial accuracy and margin protection
