Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager in Dungannon to lead the electrical engineering team responsible for the design and development of ground support equipment.

You will oversee projects from development, through validation and release to production, allocate resources across multiple programs and ensure designs meet EN12312, EN1915 and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years leadership experience within an engineering department.
• Experience designing heavy equipment, vehicle or mobile machinery systems.
• Experience using 2D/3D CAD platforms (EPlan, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, DraftSight or similar).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, complex system design and control.
• Experience managing engineering projects across full product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering team responsible for the design and development of ground support equipment.
• Oversee engineering projects from development through validation and release to production.
• Allocate engineering resources effectively across multiple projects.
• Ensure designs comply with customer specifications and standards including EN12312, EN1915 and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
• Lead design reviews and oversee ECO processes.
• Support new product development and product enhancement programmes.
• Provide technical guidance and lead cross‑functional collaboration across departments.
