Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineering Assessor / Training Officer in Wallsend. You will manage a caseload of apprentices, deliver structured development plans and support progress to End Point Assessment, while ensuring KSB evidence is captured using digital tools.

The role requires a Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, strong planning, communication and teamwork skills, and a proactive approach to learner recruitment and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Caseload management within apprenticeship framework.
• Deliver and monitor training plans to meet apprenticeship standards.
• Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Record and evidence KSBs using digital tools (OneFile).
• Ensure compliance and health & safety vetting for employer environments.

Responsibilities

• Caseload Management: oversee learners and deliver development plans.
• Progress Reviews & Sessions: monthly sessions and 12-week reviews.
• KSBs: monitor, deliver and collate evidence using OneFile.
• EPA Preparation: mock EPA activities to maximise success.
• Employer Engagement & Health and Safety: vetting and due diligence.
• Training Delivery: develop and deliver apprenticeship and commercial training.
• Administration & Compliance: inductions, AIS data, minimise withdrawals.
• Quality Assurance: work with IQA for improvements.
• Recruitment & Events: assist with interviews and open days.
