Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Field Assessor to visit workplaces across the Yorkshire region and assess apprentices against qualification standards. This field-based role requires a strong electro-mechanical background and the ability to drive between sites.

You will build relationships with learners and employers, provide feedback, and ensure training translates into real competence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-skilled is required.
• Significant industry experience in electro-mechanical disciplines.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with learners and employers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular workplace visits to assess apprentices against qualification criteria.
• Provide constructive feedback and set clear targets to support learner progress.
• Maintain accurate assessment records in line with awarding body requirements.
• Liaise with employers and workplace supervisors to monitor apprentice development.
• Support apprentices through to successful completion of their qualification.
