Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a hands-on role in a UK manufacturing site. You will maintain electrical equipment, troubleshoot faults and contribute to reliability improvements across the plant.

The role covers planning maintenance, updating drawings, and supporting CMMS-driven preventive programs, with emphasis on safe working practices and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Knowledge of BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, installations and modifications on production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose faults and implement long-term fixes with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain and improve PLCs and control systems, instrumentation and motors.
• Plan upgrades and replacements to improve reliability and performance.
• Support preventative maintenance using CMMS.
• Produce and update electrical drawings and control documentation.
• Support installations, commissioning and improvement projects.
• Complete risk assessments and ensure electrical safety compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and promote a safety-focused continuous improvement culture.
