Manpower UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a manufacturing site in the East Midlands. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining electrical equipment, improving machinery reliability and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

You will carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and upgrades, plan maintenance using CMMS, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification and PLC experience are required.

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Experience with PLCs and industrial control systems; Allen-Bradley/Rockwell knowledge advantageous.
• Familiarity with CMMS, electrical drawings and fault-finding.

Responsabilités

• Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, installations and modifications on production machinery and plant equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Maintain and improve PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, motors and electrical equipment.
• Plan equipment upgrades and replacement of obsolete systems to improve reliability and performance.
• Support preventative maintenance programmes using a CMMS.
• Produce and update electrical drawings, PLC programmes and control documentation.
• Support equipment installations, commissioning and improvement projects.
• Complete risk assessments and ensure compliance with electrical safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and promote safety and continuous improvement culture.
