Job summary

Tata Steel UK, Trostre packaging site in the UK, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance and fault resolution for electrical systems supporting safe, reliable production. You will interpret drawings, oversee installation and service of PLCs, drives and motors, and drive improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of HNC/degree level.
• Experience with plant or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of modern electrical systems and safety protocols.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Experience of managing a team and good IT/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in plant equipment and automation systems.
• Provide electrical expertise to improve plant performance and reliability.
• Work in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Support the training and development of the electrical team and others.
• Develop and deliver improvement activities and technical investigations.
