Job summary

Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver planned preventive and reactive electrical maintenance across the AFC Harrogate College estate. You will ensure work meets safety, regulatory and quality standards while supporting the facilities team.

The role includes on-call duties and collaborating with catering, cleaning, and accommodation teams to maintain reliable services for our client.

Qualifications

Qualified electrical engineer with relevant building services experience.
Experience in planned preventive and reactive maintenance within FM environments.
Familiarity with electrical testing, inspections and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs across the estate.
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
Conduct electrical testing, inspections and certification in line with regulations.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety legislation and QA standards.
Use CAFM systems to manage and close work orders accurately.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports as required.
Support continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and service delivery.
Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and wider facilities teams to deliver customer excellence.
Participate in on-call rota and respond to emergency calls when required.
