Baily Garner LLP is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our Birmingham consultancy team. The role supports design and delivery of electrical services across projects, with potential for progression to Project Team Leader and closer collaboration with architectural, building, and quantity surveying groups.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Degree required.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Ideally Chartered or working towards chartered status.
• Experience in a consultancy environment.
• Associate Member of IET/CIBSE or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Engineers with project design and delivery.
• Understand client needs and rules, design building services, and keep organised project records.
• Create designs that meet regulations and company standards.
• Work closely with other team members.
• Prepare clear specifications, drawings, and schedules for electrical services.
• Get Senior Engineers to check designs before sending out.
• Do site surveys, testing, and commissioning as needed.
• Share design knowledge and help train junior colleagues.
• Assist with cost estimates, planning, and tendering.
• Attend meetings and help with minutes as needed.
• Manage and carry out project tasks each day.
• Lead and manage projects and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.
