Baily Garner LLP is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our Birmingham-based Consultancy team, with potential for Project Team Leader responsibilities. The role involves delivering electrical services across project lifecycles, collaborating with architecture, building and quantity surveying groups.

Required: Electrical Engineering Degree, 2+ years post-qualification, consultancy experience; ideally Chartered or working towards; IET/CIBSE membership is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Engineers with project design and delivery.

• Prepare specifications, drawings, and schedules for electrical services; assist with cost estimates, planning, and tendering.
• Lead and manage project tasks and assist with site surveys, testing, and commissioning.
• Share knowledge and train junior colleagues; attend meetings and help with minutes.

Salary: £35,000- £43,000 plus car allowance

We are looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our successful Consultancy team based in Birmingham with a potential for Project Team Leader responsibilities. The successful candidate should have a progressive outlook to help drive the delivery of our electrical services, collaborating with our architectural, building and quantity surveying groups to deliver projects throughout their life cycle.

Job responsibilities:

• Support Senior Engineers with project design and delivery.
• Understand client needs and rules, design building services, and keep organised project records.
• Create designs that meet regulations and company standards.
• Work closely with other team members.
• Prepare clear specifications, drawings, and schedules for electrical services.
• Get Senior Engineers to check designs before sending out.
• Do site surveys, testing, and commissioning as needed.
• Share design knowledge and help train junior colleagues.
• Assist with cost estimates, planning, and tendering.
• Attend meetings and help with minutes as needed.Manage and carry out project tasks each day.
• Lead and manage projects and project teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Ideal candidate

• Relevant Electrical Engineering Degree
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
• Ideally Chartered or working towards
• Experience in a consultancy environment
• Associate Member of IET/CIBSE and/or equivalent knowledge and competence
