Job summary

Smart Managed Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a Watford contract. You will perform PPM, reactive and breakdown tasks on electrical systems, including LV, air conditioning and UPS assets.

The role requires fault-finding using alarm data, and you will work a split shift with a 1-in-6 weekend rota. You’ll use CMMS tools like Concept and Smart Hub, prepare method statements, and ensure safe, compliant operations on site.

Qualifications

• As this is a site-based electrical engineering role, the candidate must be able to perform PPM, reactive and breakdown tasks.
• Knowledge of air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV electrical systems is required.
• Ability to fault-find using alarm data and graphical information, with safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM on all electrical plant according to site schedules and asset lists.
• Execute reactive tasks across the building, including stores and fabric items, and propose improvements.
• Remedy faults to maintain serviceability and pass completed paperwork to the contract administrator.
• Keep CMMS systems (e.g., Concept, Smart Hub) updated and close out tickets with accurate data.
• Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for tasks to ensure safe working practices.
• Maintain tidy, secure plant rooms and comply with site safety policies.
