Job summary
Sev.en Steel UK Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering Management Team. You will plan and manage electrical activities, lead a team of Electrical Technicians and work closely with engineers to keep the plant running smoothly.
The role requires a BSc in Electrical Engineering, SCADA/HMI and PLC experience, and hands-on hardware knowledge of large AC/DC motor controls, invertors and converters. A proactive, safety-conscious mindset is essential.
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience in heavy industry.
- Experience with SCADA/HMI and PLC systems and motor controls.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams and keep plant running.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prioritise, schedule, and manage electrical activities (maintenance, shuts, repairs).
- Undertake development reviews for electrical craftspeople.
- Ensure risk assessments, method statements, and permits are created and followed.
- Estimate cost, time, and resources for repair/improvement projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and shift managers to run the process effectively.
- Lead projects and develop a team of Electrical Technicians; engaged in analysis, design and planning.
