Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the maintenance team at our Ballymena site. You will focus on keeping production lines running smoothly, troubleshoot electrical faults, and drive improvements in equipment reliability.

The role requires a time-served electrician with industrial exposure, relevant qualifications, and experience with PLC diagnostics in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrician with industrial experience.
• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification.
• 18th/19th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Experience with PLC diagnostics and fault finding.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently.
• Support maintenance activities across the site as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team and play a key role in keeping our production facility running efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain and repair production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.

What We're Looking For

• Time-served / skilled electrician with industrial experience
• NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent electrical qualification

• Strong knowledge of 3-phase electrical installations and safety control systems
• Experience with PLC diagnostics and fault finding
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong planning and organisational abilities
• Self-motivated with a proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Previous experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally food production
