Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Ballymena is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. You will maintain and repair production machinery, diagnose faults, and support continuous improvement while ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate is a time-served electrician with 18th/19th Edition, NVQ/City & Guilds, and substantial PLC fault-finding experience in FMCG food production. Excellent communication and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a time-served electrician with industrial experience.
• NVQ or City & Guilds electrical qualification.
• 18th/19th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Experience with PLC diagnostics and fault finding.
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing, preferably food production.
• Strong communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently.
• Support maintenance activities across different areas of the site as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong planning and organisational abilities

• Previous experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally food production
