Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Building Services in Cambridge. The role involves delivering detailed electrical design under supervision, applying UK/EU regulations, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team across projects.

You will work from our Cambridge office with hybrid work options and opportunities to develop towards Chartered status. Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as an electrical engineer in building services.
• Understanding of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline and how to demonstrate this in project execution.
• UK project experience within Building Services MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing).
• Familiar with latest electrical design software to allocate/direction of work on projects.
• Familiar with Revit MEP or other 3D design software for project direction.
• Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically.

Responsibilities

• Work with discipline lead and client to meet full delivery needs.
• Proficient in detailed design and performance specification.
• Review detailed design programme and ensure adequate resources.
• Provide design and technical advice with a multidisciplinary approach.
