Job summary

WSP in Cambridge is seeking a Principal Engineer in Building Services MEP to lead projects and provide design and technical guidance across mechanical, electrical and public health disciplines. You will work in a joint leadership capacity and manage design delivery with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• Candidate working towards professional chartership (I Eng/C Eng).
• Proven experience leading MEP design on projects in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and technical advice for MEP discipline within projects.
• Supervise detailed designs and guide junior staff.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and public health teams.
• Interpret client needs and align project delivery.
• Review design programmes and ensure resource availability.
