Our Client and the Role

Our client is a manufacturer of automated visual inspection machinery. Due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Electrical Engineer.

The Role:

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the build, testing, installation, and commissioning of automated visual inspection equipment. Build and test work will be undertaken at our client's workshop near Leicester, and installation and commissioning will involve some worldwide travel.

The duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Building bespoke control panels, cabinets, and wiring harnesses
2. Assembling electronic components
3. Testing control panels and equipment before dispatch
4. On-site equipment installation, commissioning, and repair work
5. Providing online/telephone technical support when required

Candidate Requirements

You should be an experienced electrical engineer with excellent electrical control panel building skills. Candidates must have:

• 18th edition wiring regulations certification
• Ideally NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering
• Ability to assemble electronic components
• Experience in building personal computers and/or electrical circuit design is beneficial
• Willingness to undertake worldwide travel for up to 2 weeks at a time, with approximately one-third of your time spent in the field and overseas

Additional Details

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
