Electrical Engineer Plymouth

  • Salaries and packages: £66,000 £78,000 + up to 16% bonus + £7,000 relocation bonus + pension (5% rising to 10%)

I am currently representing a leading power generation site in Plymouth who are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering department. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong HV and LV expertise to play a key role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and long-term integrity of critical electrical systems.

Role
  • Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will:
  • Oversee the long-term management and compliance of HV and LV electrical systems.
  • Lead planning and execution of electrical inspections during outages.
  • Ensure compliance with technical procedures and external legislation.
  • Identify, specify, and manage electrical contracts, including contractor oversight.
  • Contribute to and manage elements of a rolling 5-year business plan for electrical infrastructure.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to Engineering and Maintenance teams.
What We re Looking For
  • Proven experience with HV and LV electrical systems, including transmission, distribution, and protection.
  • Strong knowledge of DSEAR management.
  • A degree (or HNC/HND with significant experience) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ideally membership of a relevant professional institution (or working towards it).
