Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their Projects Team in Keele. You will deliver electrical and automation solutions across a portfolio of projects, from design and procurement through to commissioning and after-sales support.

The role requires knowledge of control panels, instrumentation and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. This permanent position offers flexible start times, a Monday-to-Friday schedule, and two days working from home after

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Experience delivering electrical projects in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Good understanding of electrical schematics, UK standards, and instrumentation.
• Confident communicator; customer/supplier facing.
• Experience with control systems and control panels.

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert for electrical aspects across multiple projects, delivering on time and within budget.
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams, project docs, including control philosophies and equipment schedules with suppliers.
• Specify and procure control panels, instrumentation and electrical equipment while managing supplier performance.
• Support FAT, commissioning, troubleshooting, and site activities across locations.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams and subcontractors on quotations and costings.

Job Description:

• Be the subject matter experience for all electrical aspects of multiple engineering projects, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, specifications and budgets.
• Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and project documentation, including control philosophies and equipment schedules working closely with the suppliers.
• Specify and procure control panels, instrumentation and electrical equipment while managing supplier performance.
• Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), commissioning, troubleshooting and site activities across customer and supplier locations.
• Work closely with project managers, sales teams and subcontractors on quotations/bid/costings.
