Job summary

HVAC Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Engineer to maintain and fault-find across commercial office buildings in the Basingstoke area. The role blends electrical maintenance with general building fabric work, with guaranteed overtime and a trade-specific company van.

You must be a fully qualified Electrician (Level 3 or equivalent), ideally with 18th Edition, and hold a full UK driving licence. The position offers a 40-hour week and opportunities to progress within a growing FM business.

Are you a qualified Electrician who enjoys a varied role combining electrical maintenance with general building fabric works?

We're recruiting for a leading facilities management company looking to expand its team with an experienced Electrical Engineer covering commercial office buildings across Luton & the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for someone who likes variety in their day, wants guaranteed overtime available, and is looking to join a business that genuinely invests in its engineers.

The Role

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
• Attend reactive maintenance across commercial office buildings
• Electrical fault finding, repairs and testing
• General building fabric maintenance alongside electrical duties
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
• Complete maintenance reports using handheld technology

Travel is kept sensible, with engineers travelling up to approximately 1.5 hours to site where required.

What We're Looking For

• Fully qualified Electrician (Level 3 or equivalent)
• 18th Edition preferred
• Experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management
• Comfortable carrying out both electrical and fabric maintenance
• Full UK Driving Licence

Salary & Benefits

• £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary
• 40-hour working week
• Company van (trade-specific)

• Guaranteed overtime available if wanted
• Saturday overtime paid at Time & a Half for the first 2 hours, then Double Time
• Sunday overtime paid at Double Time
• On-call rota: 1 in 8
• Travel deduction of 30 minutes each way

• Additional 1 day's holiday after 2 years' service, with a further 0.5 day accrued annually thereafter
