Job summary

Goodfish Group Limited in Cannock is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background to join our plastic injection moulding facility. You will maintain and repair machinery, troubleshoot PLCs, and ensure production reliability in a safety-conscious environment.

The role involves working with production teams, reporting through the Site Leader, and using CMMS to document activities.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining plastic injection moulding machinery or similar industrial equipment.
• Strong expertise in electrical systems, PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Engineering qualification to at least Level 3 (Mechatronics or Electrical).
• Familiarity with mechanical systems is advantageous but not essential.
• Digitally savvy; comfortable using CMMS or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on moulding machines and auxiliary equipment (e.g., chillers, robots, granulators, air compressors).
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues including PLCs and control systems.
• Carry out inspections to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Oversee electrical systems critical to production and implement improvements.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities using digital tools (CMMS).
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
