Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Associate Director to lead the technical delivery of data centre projects in the UK and across EMEA. The role focuses on driving technical excellence, mentoring teams, and shaping strategy while delivering high-performance, low-carbon outcomes for clients.

You will own electrical design across feasibility to handover, define power architectures, and coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces with mechanical, ICT, and safety teams to ensure resilient data

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead electrical design for data centre projects.
• Experience delivering DC projects across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated client facing and work-winning capability.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design across all design stages including procurement support and handover.
• Define power architectures with utility, MV/LV, UPS, gensets and distribution.
• Lead studies (load flow, short circuit, protection) using ETAP/SKM.
• Integrate monitoring/controls and metering aligned to availability objectives.
• Embed decarbonisation and energy efficiency in designs and strategies.
