Job summary

AECOM is seeking a chartered Principal Electrical Engineer with data centre experience to lead electrical scopes across multiple projects. You'll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, mentoring engineers and guiding designs from concept through to delivery.

The role supports hybrid working arrangements and requires travel to projects regionally and internationally as needed. Strong client engagement and a track record in data centre projects are essential.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in electrical engineering, preferably with building services bias.
Member of IET or CIBSE.
CEng accredited or working towards.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams.
Data centre design experience or exposure to data centre sector.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical designs for data centres in collaboration with other building services and wider disciplines.
Manage project delivery and supervise engineers.
Provide technical input to studies and design for staff's area of expertise.
Prepare contract documentation and specifications.
Estimate and control project costs; manage workload and deadlines.
Mentor and develop junior engineers in the group.
Liaise with clients, professional organizations, contractors and suppliers.
Travel to projects regionally and internationally when required.
