Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Associate Director to lead electrical design for hyperscale data centre projects in the UK and across EMEA. You will drive technical excellence, mentor teams, shape strategy, win work and deliver low‑carbon, high‑reliability outcomes for clients.

You will own end-to-end electrical design across feasibility to handover, coordinate with mechanical, ICT, and security interfaces, and ensure design aligns with standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Hyperscale and/or multi-site program experience.
• Strong track record delivering electrical design for data centres.
• Proven client facing and work-winning capabilities.
• Experience leading DC streams in UK/EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design from feasibility to handover.
• Define power architectures including utility intake, UPS, gensets, switchgear.
• Lead power studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination).
• Integrate monitoring/controls (BMS/EPMS/SCADA) and metering.
• Embed decarbonisation and energy efficiency measures.
• Ensure compliance with IEC/BS/EN and client specs.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary interfaces to deliver integrated designs.
