Job summary
Formula 1 in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Race Engineering and Infrastructure team on a 2-year fixed-term contract. You will design temporary power systems, switchgear assemblies and UPS-backed solutions to power events globally, turning concepts into robust, on-site equipment.
You'll collaborate with project engineers, operations and suppliers, developing from concept through manufacture and deployment while ensuring compliance with electrical
Qualifications
- Essential: knowledge of LV electrical distribution systems.
- Able to produce accurate electrical drawings and docs.
- Experience turning concepts into manufacturable designs.
- Experience supporting projects through design, review and delivery.
- Familiar with temporary power systems and control panels.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop temporary power distribution systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Transform requirements into practical electrical designs and documentation.
- Produce drawings, schematics, wiring schedules and documentation for manufacture and deployment.
- Develop switchgear assemblies, UPS-backed systems and containerised power solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers, operations, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
