Trant Engineering Ltd is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to apply advanced engineering principles to design, manage, and deliver moderately complex projects. You will mentor junior staff, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure projects meet schedule and budget targets.

The role emphasizes sustainability and adherence to professional standards while providing opportunities to lead scopes and contribute to national infrastructure projects

Qualifications

• Essential Higher Education (NVQ+) is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline is desirable (Master's preferred).
• Membership of a Professional Engineering Institution is expected.
• CSCS Card or SHEA Water Qualification is preferred.
• EUSR Water Hygiene Qualification is preferred.
• Typically 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience including project design and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Designs complete projects, systems, components, or processes.
• Prepares comprehensive specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
• Designs and conducts site investigations; analyzes survey data.
• Formulates and solves engineering problems using standard and adapted methods.
• Oversees moderate projects or contributes to specific parts of large-scale projects.
