Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its team working on water industry projects, including clean water and wastewater, across the UK. The role involves designing LV distribution, MCCs, controls, instrumentation and automation, and supporting cost estimates.

The successful candidate will have an electrical engineering qualification and experience in water/utilities or process industries, with proficiency in AutoCAD and ProDesign tools.

Qualifications

• Electrical design knowledge and project understanding in water/industrial sectors.
• Experience supporting electrical design for LV distribution, MCCs, controls, instrumentation, or automation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign for electrical drawings and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Produce outline and detailed electrical designs and specifications for LV distribution, MCCs, control systems, instrumentation, automation, and cabling.
• Support preparation of technical proposals and project cost estimates.
• Ensure designs meet project scope, programme, budget and client requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and technicians.
