Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced engineering professional to provide technical support across contracting, commissioning and facilities services. You will review projects for compliance, prepare detailed reports, and present outcomes to clients and stakeholders.

You will apply your design experience and knowledge of fire safety and electrical systems to ensure technical accuracy, while mentoring junior colleagues and supporting the project lifecycle from design to aftercare.

Qualifications

• Experience in a design environment (site construction).
• IT literate with proficiency in listed design tools and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of BS5839 and BS5266.
• Basic understanding of HV equipment, transformers, and LV switchgear.
• Capable of producing cable calculations, SLDs, drawings, specs, datasheets, BoMs, and containment sizing.
• CompEx Ex12 certification and ATEX/DSEAR regulations knowledge (preferred).
• Willing to obtain SC security clearance (costs covered by the company).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to contracting, commissioning, and facilities services, offering practical solutions and expert advice.
• Review projects to ensure compliance, completeness, and quality; prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
• Attend client and consultant meetings, present outcomes and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering growth in a safe, collaborative environment.
• Apply engineering expertise to review project specs, drawings and schedules, identify discrepancies and assess risks.
