Job summary

Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for our Manchester team. You will design, oversee installation and commissioning of electrical systems in complex buildings, ensuring technical compliance and adherence to Building Safety Act and project specifications.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer, you will coordinate design information, procurement, and QA/QC processes while supporting BIM coordination and RAMS input.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills; ability to explain technical issues clearly in reports, RFIs and emails.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, drawings and procurement.
• Proactive problem-solving with practical engineering solutions.
• Rigorous attention to detail in drawings, specifications, installation quality, commissioning and safety procedures.
• Technical curiosity and willingness to learn new standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review electrical design information; raise RFIs and technical queries for compliance.
• Support delivery of electrical procurement packages, including technical evaluations and tracking deliveries.
• Review shop drawings, submittals and method statements; provide recommendations for approval.
• Monitor works against programme; highlight delays or constraints.
• Assist with BIM coordination and electrical clash resolution.
• Support health & safety requirements, including RAMS input.
• Maintain QA/QC records such as inspections and test sheets.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities under senior supervision.
• Provide input to support commercial variation assessments.
