Job summary

Dalkia in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced commissioning/contract manager to take projects from design to handover, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with safety and client requirements in mind.

You will lead relationships with clients and subcontractors, uphold H&S and QA standards, support design and manufacturing interfaces, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Industry experience.
• H&S regulations knowledge.
• PC literate with Microsoft Word & Excel experience.
• Experience in the construction industry.
• Experience installing/commissioning fire and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Take jobs from design stage to client handover, on time, safely, within budget and to the client's requirements.
• Develop the client relationship by delivering quality jobs to meet deadlines.
• Work with subcontractors ensuring they meet high standards.
• Ensure that our employees and others affected are safe by adhering to best H&S policies.
• Ensure that all required information is available to the service department.
• Keep or enhance the job margins.
• Ensure effective management of Company policies including Health and Safety and Quality Assurance in contract delivery.
• Liaise with Commissioning Technician/subcontractor to ensure compliance with policies and procedures (H&S/QA/BS and UK codes).
• Liaise with design team/manufacturers for technical support to ensure equipment is fit for purpose and meets client expectations.
• Seek continuous improvement in service delivery including man-management, health, safety, and financial performance.
• Establish contract-specific local procedures including emergency and escalation processes.
• Manage and set firm financial targets to meet objectives and report status to Operations Manager and Commercial team.
• Gain new business through existing client base and tender additional project works to meet client requirements.
• Provide tendering facilities for extra project works liaising with Operations Manager and Commercial team (Contract terms, Design responsibility, CDM, Financial control, Project management).
• Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Carry out staff appraisals for Commissioning Technician who are direct reports.
• Complete monthly health and safety visits.
• Interface with Clients, Suppliers, Sub-contractors.
